Thief Step / Latorlépés

by Boglárka Éva Zellei
February 05 - 22, 2020

With her first solo exhibition Boglárka Éva Zellei introduces her research-pilgrimage of the past years. By reinterpreting the penitent thieves seen crucified on the two sides of Christ in images of the Calvary, she invites us to an event of special reconnecting, a process marked by the notions of judgment and acceptance, exclusion and release, in which we can explore our relations with God, ourselves and the society.

She began her studies with a BA at the Kaposvár University, attended courses at the Hochschule für Künste Bremen, then graduated with an MA at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, Budapest, in 2017. Besides Budapest, her works have been exhibited in London, Vienna, Monopoli, Breda and Ljubjana.
