Trois couleurs: BLEU
Group show by TOBE Gallery
Curated by Bea Puskás – Tomas Opitz
June 5 – July 31, 2026
JAKAB Badacsony Winery, Nemesgulács
The group exhibition Trois couleurs: Bleu pays tribute to the first film of Krzysztof Kieślowski’s legendary Three Colours trilogy, exploring themes of freedom, memory, and emotional distance. The photographs, paintings, and collages presented in the exhibition reflect on the cultural, psychological, and sensory layers of meaning associated with the color blue through a variety of artistic perspectives.
Alongside the artists of TOBE Gallery, invited Hungarian and international artists establish a visual dialogue in which motifs of personal narratives, absence, intimacy, and transformation become intertwined. The exhibition is not an illustration of the film’s narrative, but rather a space of free association inspired by its atmosphere and emotional universe.
Trois couleurs: Bleu simultaneously evokes the film’s iconic visual world and the universal symbolism of blue: a delicate balance of silence, melancholy, freedom, and hope.
